Streets of Hope Needs Our Help!
Churches for Streets of Hope provides shelter and meals for men on the streets of eastern Baltimore County, supported on a rotating basis by area churches that provide dinner and other supplies every night during winter months. This year, Towson UMC will continue our support of this worthwhile project on the following dates: Nov 16, Dec 16, Jan 13, Feb 17, Mar 15, and Apr 13. We need folks to shop and prepare a meal for 15-20 people and deliver food to the shelter in Essex. We have had individuals, pairs, and families prepare meals in the past and will supply you with a list of what is needed. You’ll be reimbursed for your expenses – we just need you to cook and deliver (and we can even sometimes help out with the delivery). For more info or to volunteer, contact Dwight Kines.
